Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Searcy Lions (Searcy, AR) and the visiting Marion Patriots (Marion, AR), saw Searcy's basketball squad hold off Marion by a tally of 38-34.

With the victory, Searcy improves its record to 20-5 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Greene County Tech (Paragould, AR) to confront the Golden Eagles in a 5A East challenge on Tuesday, February 13. The Golden Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 22-5. Greene County Tech won 41-35 in their recent league challenge against Valley View (Jonesboro, AR)

Next up, the Patriots confront the Batesville Pioneers (Batesville, AR) in a 5A East challenge, on Tuesday, February 13. Marion will attempt to improve on its 15-11 season record.
