The Hickory Red Tornadoes (Hickory, NC) basketball felled the visiting West Iredell Warriors (Statesville, NC), 81-61 in Friday's non-league test.

The Red Tornadoes (11-7) will now prepare for their test against Foard (Newton, NC). The Tigers go into the non-league test with a 9-10 record. In their last test, Foard was beaten by North Lincoln (Lincolnton, NC), 70-30, in a league test.

The Warriors now own a 6-11 record. They play next when they travel to North Lincoln for a non-league test on Tuesday, February 13. West Iredell will encounter a Knights squad coming off a 70-30 league win over Foard (Newton, NC). The Knights record now stands at 18-1.
