In Monday's non-league bout, the Mount Dora Hurricanes (Mount Dora, FL) baseball squad the visiting Edgewater Eagles (Orlando, FL), by a tally of 5-2.

The Hurricanes now own a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Pine Ridge for a 4A District 7 challenge on Wednesday, February 11. Mount Dora will clash with a Panthers team coming off a 0-0 non-league Mainland (Daytona Beach, FL). The Panthers record now stands at 0-2.
