Kentucky High School Basketball - Powell County falls to Montgomery County
February 10, 2022: Stanton, KY 40380 In Thursday's non-league match, the visiting Montgomery County Indians basketball team scored a good 54-37 triumph over the Powell County Pirates.
In their next game, the Indians meet the Bourbon County Colonels (Paris, KY) in a District 40 match, on Friday, February 11. Montgomery County will attempt to better on its 9-14 season record. The Colonels enter the match with a 3-17 record after their 64-52 non-league loss to Frankfort (Frankfort, KY).
With the defeat, Powell County moves to 8-17 on the year. The Pirates host Lee County (Beattyville, KY) to meet the Bobcats in a non-league match on Saturday, February 12. The Bobcats enter the match with a record of 9-13. Lee County won 72-52 in their recent non-league match against Jackson City (Jackson, KY)
