Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Lewis County Minutemen (Weston, WV) and the visiting Lincoln Cougars (Shinnston, WV), saw Lewis County's basketball squad hold off Lincoln by a tally of 48-42.

With the victory, Lewis County improves its record to 9-12 on the campaign. The Minutemen travel to Parkersburg Catholic (Parkersburg, WV) to play the Crusaders in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, February 15. The Crusaders come into the challenge with a record of 12-0. Parkersburg Catholic won 48-28 in their recent non-league challenge against Robert C. Byrd (Clarksburg, WV)

Next up, the Cougars play the Keyser Golden Tornado (Keyser, WV) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, February 12. Lincoln will attempt to improve on its 7-11 season record. The Golden Tornado come into the challenge with a 12-4 record after their 51-39 non-league loss to Allegany (Cumberland, MD).
