Illinois High School Basketball - Mt. Carmel tops Paris

February 10, 2023: Paris, IL 61944

Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Mt. Carmel Golden Aces (Mt. Carmel, IL) and the host Paris Tigers (Paris, IL), saw Mt. Carmel's basketball squad knock off Paris by a count of 52-42.

With the victory, Mt. Carmel upgrades its record to 17-11 on the campaign. The Golden Aces host Red Hill (Bridgeport, IL) to play the Salukis in a non-league challenge on Thursday, February 16. The Salukis come into the challenge with a record of 5-25. Red Hill lost 77-58 in their recent non-league challenge against Edwards County (Albion, IL)

Next up, the Tigers play the Charleston Trojans (Charleston, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, February 14. Paris will attempt to upgrade on its 13-16 season record. The Trojans come into the challenge with a 11-14 record after their 83-61 non-league win over Marshall (Marshall, IL).
