New York High School Basketball - Friendship nudges Hammondsport
February 10, 2025: Friendship, NY 14739 The crowd at Monday's non-league challenge between the Friendship Golden Eagles (Friendship, NY) and the visiting Hammondsport Lakers (Hammondsport, NY), observed Friendship's basketball team edge Hammondsport by a score of 47-42.
The Golden Eagles (7-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Fillmore (Fillmore, NY). The Eagles come into the non-league challenge with a 15-2 record. In their last challenge, Fillmore edged Bolivar-Richburg (Bolivar, NY), 71-47, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Lakers encounter the Avoca Central Tigers (Avoca, NY) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, February 12. Hammondsport will attempt to improve on its 3-14 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 6-12 record after their 67-54 non-league loss to Genesee Valley (Belmont, NY).
