Connecticut High School Basketball - Staples crushes Bridgeport Central
February 11, 2022: Bridgeport, CT 06606 Staples Wreckers (Westport, CT) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Bridgeport Central Hilltoppers (Bridgeport, CT), 76-32 in a league bout.
With the win, Staples upgrades its record to 11-3 on the season. The Wreckers travel to St. Joseph (Trumbull, CT) to clash with the Cadets in a Fairfield County challenge on Monday, February 14. The Cadets come into the challenge with a record of 10-5. St. Joseph won 68-61 in their recent league challenge against Trumbull (Trumbull, CT)
Next up, the Hilltoppers confront the Danbury Hatters (Danbury, CT) in a Fairfield County challenge, on Monday, February 14. Bridgeport Central will attempt to improve on its 1-15 season record. The Hatters come into the challenge with a 8-7 record after their 42-39 league win over Greenwich (Greenwich, CT).
