Michigan High School Basketball - University Liggett holds off Lutheran
February 11, 2022: Grosse Pointe Woods, MI 48236 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the University Liggett Knights (Grosse Pointe Woods, MI) and the visiting Lutheran Warriors (Westland, MI), saw University Liggett's basketball squad hold off Lutheran by a tally of 50-46.
With the victory, University Liggett improves its record to 8-5 on the campaign. The Knights host Greenhills (Ann Arbor, MI) to confront the Gryphons in a Catholic Intersectional I challenge on Tuesday, February 15. The Gryphons come into the challenge with a record of 7-5.
Next up, the Warriors confront the Whitmore Lake Trojans (Whitmore Lake, MI) in a Tri-County challenge, on Tuesday, February 15. Lutheran will attempt to improve on its 11-4 season record. The Trojans come into the challenge with a 6-8 record after their 53-47 league win over Charyl Stockwell Preparatory Academy (Brighton, MI).
