Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Bishop Ireton Cardinals (Alexandria, VA) and the host The Academy of the Holy Cross Tartans (Kensington, MD), saw Bishop Ireton's basketball squad wallop The Academy of the Holy Cross by a tally of 66-42.

With the victory, Bishop Ireton improves its record to 16-9 on the campaign. The Cardinals host St. Paul VI (Chantilly, VA) to play the Panthers in a Washington Catholic challenge on Tuesday, February 15. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 17-5. St. Paul VI won 71-40 in their recent league challenge against St. Mary's Ryken (Leonardtown, MD)

Next up, the Tartans play the St. John's Cadets (Washington, DC) in a Washington Catholic challenge, on Saturday, February 12.
