Veterans Memorial Chargers (Brownsville, TX) fans were thrilled Friday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Pace Vikings (Brownsville, TX), 1-0 in a league challenge.

Next, the Chargers face the Edcouch-Elsa Yellowjackets (Edcouch, TX) in a 5A Region 4 District 32 challenge, on Tuesday, February 15. Veterans Memorial will attempt to better on its 10-3 season record. The Yellowjackets enter the challenge with a 1-6 record after their 4-1 league loss to Porter (Brownsville, TX).

The Vikings now have a 8-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Weslaco East for a 5A Region 4 District 32 challenge on Tuesday, February 15. Pace will face a Wildcats team coming off a 2-1 league loss to Donna (Donna, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 3-4.
