Indiana High School Basketball - Chesterton can't hold off Hammond Central
February 11, 2023: Hammond, IN 46320 The Hammond Central Wolves basketball team scored 74 points and held the visiting Chesterton Trojans to 69 in the Wolves non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Wolves now sport a 5-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lake Central for a non-league contest on Tuesday, February 14. Hammond Central will battle a Indians team coming off a 78-57 league loss to Michigan City (Michigan City, IN). The Indians record now stands at 14-6.
The Trojans (14-7) will now prepare for their contest against Hammond (Hammond, IN). The Wolves enter the non-league contest with a 18-1 record. In their last contest, Hammond nudged Proviso East (Maywood, IL), 77-69, in a non-league contest.
