In Saturday's non-league match, the visiting Sanford Mustangs basketball team scored a decisive 59-26 triumph over the Cotopaxi Pirates.

In their next game, the Mustangs meet the Center Vikings (Center, CO) in a 3A/2A Southern Peaks match, on Friday, February 17. Sanford will attempt to move on its 10-7 season record. The Vikings enter the match with a 5-12 record after their 50-31 league win over Trinidad (Trinidad, CO).
