Washington High School Basketball - Davis thwarts Sunnyside
February 11, 2025: Yakima, WA 98902 The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Davis Pirates (Yakima, WA) and the visiting Sunnyside Grizzlies (Sunnyside, WA), observed Davis's basketball team knock off Sunnyside by a score of 70-62.
The Pirates (18-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Wenatchee (Wenatchee, WA). The Panthers come into the 4A Columbia Basin Big-9 challenge with a 4-16 record. In their last challenge, Wenatchee prevailed over Eastmont (East Wenatchee, WA), 71-65, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Grizzlies encounter the Moses Lake Mavericks (Moses Lake, WA) in a 4A Columbia Basin Big-9 challenge, on Thursday, February 13. Sunnyside will attempt to improve on its 7-12 season record. The Mavericks come into the challenge with a 11-9 record after their 89-86 league loss to Davis (Yakima, WA).
