Minnesota High School Basketball - Springfield overwhelms Sleepy Eye
February 11, 2025: Springfield, MN 56087 The Springfield Tigers basketball team scored 91 points and limited the visiting Sleepy Eye Indians to 52 in the Tigers league triumph on Tuesday.
The Tigers now have a 23-2 record. They play next when they host New Ulm Cathedral for a A Section 2 game on Thursday, February 13. Springfield will confront a Greyhounds team coming off a 64-41 league loss to Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop (Winthrop, MN). The Greyhounds record now stands at 9-13.
With the loss, Sleepy Eye falls to 11-14 on the campaign. The Indians host St. Mary's (Sleepy Eye, MN) to confront the Knights in a A Section 2 game on Friday, February 14. The Knights go into the game with a record of 12-13. St. Mary's won 84-33 in their recent league game against Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart (Hector, MN)
