New Mexico High School Basketball - St. Pius X thwarts Grants
February 11, 2025: Grants, NM 87020 The crowd at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the St. Pius X Sartans (Albuquerque, NM) and the host Grants Pirates (Grants, NM), observed St. Pius X's basketball team knock off Grants by a score of 40-30.
The Sartans (11-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Valencia (Los Lunas, NM). The Jaguars come into the non-league challenge with a 0-10 record. In their last challenge, Valencia was knocked off by Grants (Grants, NM), 56-31, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Pirates encounter the Highland Hornets (Albuquerque, NM) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, February 14. Grants will attempt to improve on its 13-3 season record. The Hornets come into the challenge with a 4-13 record after their 33-29 non-league loss to Belen (Belen, NM).
