California High School Basketball - Bakersfield nips Independence

February 11, 2025: Bakersfield, CA 93311

In Tuesday's league contest, the visiting Bakersfield Drillers basketball team scored a close 49-45 triumph over the Independence Falcons.

The Drillers now possess a 12-11 record. They play next when they travel to Monache for a non-league bout on Friday, February 14. Bakersfield will play a Marauders team coming off a 58-23 league win over Porterville (Porterville, CA). The Marauders record now stands at 20-7.

With the loss, Independence falls to 12-12 on the campaign. The Falcons travel to Sanger (Sanger, CA) to play the Apaches in a non-league bout on Friday, February 14. The Apaches go into the bout with a record of 15-13. Sanger won 58-26 in their recent league bout against Edison (Fresno, CA)
