Tennessee High School Basketball - Dyer County triumphant over Obion County
February 11, 2025: Newbern, TN 38059 The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Dyer County Choctaws (Newbern, TN) and the visiting Obion County Rebels (Troy, TN), observed Dyer County's basketball team overwhelm Obion County by a score of 57-36.
The Choctaws (10-11) will now prepare for their challenge against Crockett County (Alamo, TN). The Cavaliers come into the 3A District 13 challenge with a 18-6 record. In their last challenge, Crockett County trounced Obion County (Troy, TN), 58-26, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Rebels battle the South Gibson Hornets (Medina, TN) in a 3A District 13 challenge, on Thursday, February 13. Obion County will attempt to improve on its 8-14 season record. The Hornets come into the challenge with a 21-6 record after their 44-23 league loss to Dyersburg (Dyersburg, TN).
