In Tuesday's non-league match, the host Port Neches-Groves Indians softball team scored a tight 12-11 victory over the Little Cypress-Mauriceville Bears.

The Indians (1-0) will now prepare for their match against Midland (Midland, TX). The Bulldogs go into the non-league match with a 2-0 record. In their last match, Midland tipped Coronado (Lubbock, TX), 11-2, in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Bears battle the Iowa Colony Pioneers (Iowa Colony, TX) in a non-league match, on Thursday, February 13.
