Wisconsin High School Basketball - Merrill topped by Columbus
February 12, 2022: Columbus, WI 53925 The Columbus Cardinals basketball team scored 57 points and restricted the visiting Merrill Bluejays to 38 in the Cardinals non-league victory on Saturday.
The Cardinals now sport a 15-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Poynette for a Capitol - North contest on Tuesday, February 15. Columbus will battle a Pumas team coming off a 73-66 league loss to Lake Mills (Lake Mills, WI). The Pumas record now stands at 3-17.
The Bluejays (8-13) will now prepare for their contest against D.C. Everest (Schofield, WI). The Evergreens come into the Wisconsin Valley contest with a 10-11 record. In their last contest, D.C. Everest prevailed over Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln (Wisconsin Rapids, WI), 73-35, in a league contest.
