Illinois High School Basketball - Freeport nips Jefferson
February 12, 2022: Rockford, IL 61109 Fans at Saturday's league challenge between the Freeport Pretzels (Freeport, IL) and the host Jefferson J-Hawks (Rockford, IL), saw Freeport's basketball squad hold off Jefferson by a tally of 58-53.
With the victory, Freeport improves its record to 9-15 on the campaign. The Pretzels travel to Guilford (Rockford, IL) to play the Vikings in a Northern Illinois 10 challenge on Wednesday, February 16. The Vikings come into the challenge with a record of 15-12. Guilford lost 56-43 in their recent league challenge against Rockford East (Rockford, IL)
Next up, the J-Hawks play the Belvidere Bucs (Belvidere, IL) in a Northern Illinois 10 challenge, on Wednesday, February 16. Jefferson will attempt to improve on its 4-24 season record. The Bucs come into the challenge with a 5-25 record after their 72-35 league loss to Rockford Auburn (Rockford, IL).
