Valley Tigers (Elgin, IA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Ames Little Cyclones (Ames, IA), 65-47 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Valley upgrades its record to 12-3 on the season.

Next up, the Little Cyclones clash with the Southeast Polk Rams (Pleasant Hill, IA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 13. Ames will attempt to upgrade on its 16-8 season record. The Rams go into the bout with a 6-16 record after their 91-53 league loss to Waukee (Waukee, IA).
