Louisiana High School Basketball - South Plaquemines bested by Jefferson RISE Charter
February 12, 2025: Harvey, LA 70058 Jefferson RISE Charter (Harvey, LA) supporters left the game happy Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad run past the visiting South Plaquemines Hurricanes (Buras, LA), 64-48 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Jefferson RISE Charter advances its record to 10-18 on the year. The host Fisher (Lafitte, LA) to face the Gators in a 3A District 9 match on Thursday, February 13. The Gators enter the match with a record of 7-8. Fisher lost 75-33 in their recent league match against Haynes Academy (Metairie, LA)
The Hurricanes now own a 4-17 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to St. Paul's for a non-league match on Saturday, February 15. South Plaquemines will face a Wolves squad coming off a 71-43 league loss to Ponchatoula (Ponchatoula, LA). The Wolves record now stands at 14-12.
