In Thursday's non-league bout, the Simpson Academy Cougars (Mendenhall, MS) baseball team trounced the visiting Magee Trojans (Magee, MS), by a count of 13-0.

The Cougars now own a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Wayne Academy for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, February 17. Simpson Academy will clash with a Jaguars team coming off a 7-5 non-league loss to Enterprise (Enterprise, MS). The Jaguars record now stands at 0-3.
