February 13, 2023: Elkville, IL 62932 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Sandoval Blackhawks (Sandoval, IL) and the host Elverado Falcons (Elkville, IL), saw Sandoval's basketball squad hold off Elverado by a count of 56-52.
With the victory, Sandoval upgrades its record to 11-16 on the campaign. The Blackhawks travel to Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City (Cowden, IL) to play the Bobcats in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, February 14. The Bobcats come into the challenge with a record of 7-18. Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City lost 51-36 in their recent non-league challenge against Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg (Windsor, IL)
Next up, the Falcons play the Zeigler-Royalton Tornadoes (Zeigler, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, February 14. Elverado will attempt to upgrade on its 11-17 season record. The Tornadoes come into the challenge with a 5-22 record after their 66-59 non-league loss to Galatia (Galatia, IL).
