In Thursday's non-league game, the host John Curtis Christian Patriots baseball team scored a close 8-3 win over the Ponchatoula Green Wave.

The Patriots (2-1) will now prepare for their game against Covington (Covington, LA). The Lions go into the non-league game with a 1-1 record. In their last game, Covington was overwhelmed by Northshore (Slidell, LA), 8-0, in a non-league game.

Next, the Green Wave play the Jesuit Blue Jays (New Orleans, LA) in a non-league game, on Friday, February 14. Ponchatoula will attempt to improve on its 1-1 season record. The Blue Jays go into the game with a 2-0 record after their 8-5 non-league win over Pope John Paul II (Slidell, LA).
