The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the Bear Grass Charter Bears (Williamston, NC) and the visiting Columbia Wildcats (Columbia, NC), observed Bear Grass Charter's basketball team overcome Columbia by a margin of 59-45.

The Bears (10-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Mattamuskeet (Swan Quarter, NC). The Lakers come into the 1A Atlantic challenge with a 5-10 record. In their last challenge, Mattamuskeet dropped by Ocracoke (Ocracoke, NC), 53-31, in a league challenge.
