Tennessee High School Basketball - Cherokee sneaks past Chuckey-Doak
February 13, 2025: Afton, TN 37616 The Cherokee Chiefs (Rogersville, TN) basketball edged the host Chuckey-Doak Black Knights (Afton, TN), 57-50 in Thursday's non-league bout.
The Chiefs now possess a 11-16 record. They play next when they host Claiborne for a 3A District 2 bout on Wednesday, February 19. Cherokee will play a Bulldogs team coming off a 62-59 non-league loss to Cumberland Gap (Cumberland Gap, TN). The Bulldogs record now stands at 2-19.
With the loss, Chuckey-Doak falls to 6-21 on the campaign. The Black knights travel to West Greene (Mosheim, TN) to play the Buffaloes in a 2A District 1 bout on Tuesday, February 18. The Buffaloes go into the bout with a record of 15-9.
