Illinois High School Basketball - Valmeyer thwarts First Baptist Academy
February 13, 2025: O'Fallon, IL The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Valmeyer Pirates (Valmeyer, IL) and the host First Baptist Academy (O'Fallon, IL), observed Valmeyer's basketball team knock off First Baptist Academy by a score of 40-26.
The Pirates (12-14) will now prepare for their challenge against Dupo (Dupo, IL). The Tigers come into the Cahokia - Kaskaskia challenge with a 2-14 record. In their last challenge, Dupo was knocked off by New Athens (New Athens, IL), 70-39, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the encounter the Lebanon Greyhounds (Lebanon, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, February 17. First Baptist Academy will attempt to improve on its 11-15 season record. The Greyhounds come into the challenge with a 4-21 record after their 97-59 league loss to New Athens (New Athens, IL).
