February 13, 2025: Ellijay, GA 30540 Lanier Longhorns (Sugar Hill, GA) boosters exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they witnessed their soccer team knock off the host Gilmer Bobcats (Ellijay, GA), 2-0 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, Lanier moves its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Longhorns host Peachtree Ridge (Suwanee, GA) to clash with the Lions in a non-league test on Tuesday, February 18. The Lions come into the test with a record of 2-0. Peachtree Ridge won 7-0 in their recent non-league test against Central Gwinnett (Lawrenceville, GA)
The Bobcats now sport a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Cherokee for a non-league test on Friday, February 14. Gilmer will clash with a Warriors team coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Sprayberry (Marietta, GA). The Warriors record now stands at 0-1.
