The East Central Hornets (Moss Point, MS) softball routed the host Ocean Springs Greyhounds (Ocean Springs, MS), 7-1 in Friday's non-league outing.

The Hornets now sport a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sumrall for a non-league outing on Saturday, February 14. East Central will encounter a Bobcats team coming off a 9-7 non-league loss to Petal (Petal, MS). The Bobcats record now stands at 2-1.

With the loss, Ocean Springs moves to 2-1 on the season. The Greyhounds travel to Northwest Rankin (Brandon, MS) to encounter the Cougars in a non-league outing on Monday, February 16. The Cougars come into the outing with a record of 3-0. Northwest Rankin won 1-0 in their recent non-league outing against George County (Lucedale, MS)
