The Coventry Patriots (Coventry, CT) basketball nipped the visiting Somers Spartans (Somers, CT), 64-58 in Tuesday's league test.

The Patriots (14-4) will now prepare for their test against Granby Memorial (Granby, CT). The Bears go into the North Central Connecticut test with a 7-10 record. In their last test, Granby Memorial got by Suffield (West Suffield, CT), 58-57, in a league test.

The Spartans now own a 6-12 record. They take the field next when they host East Granby for a North Central Connecticut test on Friday, February 17. Somers will clash with a Crusaders squad coming off a 56-43 league loss to East Windsor (East Windsor, CT). The Crusaders record now stands at 10-7.
