Kansas High School Basketball - St. John topped by Sterling
February 14, 2023: Sterling, KS 67579 The Sterling Black Bears basketball team scored 26 points and restricted the visiting St. John Tigers to 15 in the Black Bears non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Black Bears now sport a 14-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Ell-Saline for a non-league contest on Friday, February 17. Sterling will battle a Cardinals team coming off a 54-45 non-league loss to Bennington (Bennington, KS). The Cardinals record now stands at 10-7.
The Tigers (4-15) will now prepare for their contest against Macksville (Macksville, KS). The Mustangs come into the Central Prairie contest with a 16-2 record. In their last contest, Macksville prevailed over Otis-Bison (Otis, KS), 74-40, in a league contest.
