February 14, 2023: Osceola, WI 54020 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Somerset Spartans (Somerset, WI) and the host Osceola Chieftains (Osceola, WI), saw Somerset's basketball squad hold off Osceola by a tally of 54-51.
With the victory, Somerset improves its record to 17-5 on the campaign. The Spartans host Amery (Amery, WI) to play the Warriors in a Middle Border challenge on Thursday, February 16. The Warriors come into the challenge with a record of 16-8. Amery lost 55-53 in their recent league challenge against Altoona (Altoona, WI)
Next up, the Chieftains play the Prescott Cardinals (Prescott, WI) in a Middle Border challenge, on Thursday, February 16. Osceola will attempt to improve on its 8-14 season record. The Cardinals come into the challenge with a 17-7 record after their 45-43 league win over Ellsworth (Ellsworth, WI).
