In Wednesday's non-league outing, the Mesquite Wildcats (Gilbert, AZ) basketball squad edged the visiting Pinnacle Pioneers (Phoenix, AZ), by a count of 60-57.

The Wildcats (21-6) will now prepare for their outing against Basha (Chandler, AZ). The Bears go into the non-league outing with a 20-6 record. In their last outing, Basha held off Mica Mountain (Tucson, AZ), 95-50, in a non-league outing.
