The Monroe-Woodbury Crusaders basketball squad (Central Valley, NY), was nudged 51-48 in Friday's non-league battle with the host Valley Central Vikings (Montgomery, NY)

With the victory, Valley Central advances its record to 13-5 on the year. The Vikings travel to Warwick (Warwick, NY) to meet the Wildcats in a Section 9 Orange County II battle on Tuesday, February 18. The Wildcats enter the battle with a record of 11-7. Warwick won 55-27 in their recent league battle against Monticello (Monticello, NY)

The Crusaders now own a 10-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Newburgh Free Academy for a Section 9 Orange County I battle on Thursday, February 20. Monroe-Woodbury will meet a Goldbacks squad coming off a 78-41 non-league win over Yonkers (Yonkers, NY). The Goldbacks record now stands at 9-7.
