Byers Lions (Holly Springs, MS) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Okolona Chieftains (Okolona, MS), 62-52 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Byers upgrades its record to 15-4 on the season. The Lions travel to Wheeler (Wheeler, MS) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 19. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 25-4. Wheeler won 73-53 in their recent non-league bout against Tupelo Christian Prep (Belden, MS)
