New Mexico High School Basketball - Espanola Valley crushes Pojoaque Valley
February 15, 2022: Espanola, NM 87532 Espanola Valley Sundevils (Espanola, NM) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Pojoaque Valley Elks/Elkettes (Pojoaque, NM), 65-34 in a league bout.
With the victory, Espanola Valley upgrades its record to 18-6 on the campaign. The Sundevils host Taos (Taos, NM) to play the Tigers in a 4A District 2 bout on Saturday, February 19. The Tigers come into the bout with a record of 20-5. Taos won 62-42 in their recent league bout against Los Alamos (Los Alamos, NM)
Next up, the Elks/Elkettes play the Moriarty Pintos (Moriarty, NM) in a 4A District 2 bout, on Thursday, February 17. Pojoaque Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 6-17 season record. The Pintos come into the bout with a 4-15 record after their 78-55 league loss to Los Alamos (Los Alamos, NM).
