Virginia Episcopal School Bishops (Lynchburg, VA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host New Covenant Gryphons (Lynchburg, VA), 52-36 in a league bout.

With the victory, Virginia Episcopal School upgrades its record to 9-7 on the campaign. The Bishops host Chatham Hall (Chatham, VA) to play the Turtles in a VISAA Division 1 bout on Thursday, February 17. The Turtles come into the bout with a record of 0-8. Chatham Hall lost 27-1 in their recent league bout against Roanoke Catholic (Roanoke, VA)

Next up, the Gryphons play the Carlisle Chiefs (Martinsville, VA) in a VISAA Blue Ridge bout, on Friday, February 18. New Covenant will attempt to upgrade on its 6-14 season record. The Chiefs come into the bout with a 4-5 record after their 44-41 league win over North Cross (Roanoke, VA).
