Maryland High School Basketball - Mount St. Joseph nips Goretti
February 15, 2023: Baltimore, MD 21229 Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the Mount St. Joseph Gaels (Baltimore, MD) and the visiting Goretti Gael (Hagerstown, MD), saw Mount St. Joseph's basketball squad hold off Goretti by a count of 54-53.
With the victory, Mount St. Joseph upgrades its record to 31-3 on the campaign. The Gaels travel to Archbishop Spalding (Severn, MD) to play the Cavaliers in a MIAA A - Red challenge on Friday, February 17. The Cavaliers come into the challenge with a record of 14-15. Archbishop Spalding won 89-59 in their recent league challenge against Gilman (Baltimore, MD)
Next up, the Gael play the Bishop Walsh Spartans (Cumberland, MD) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, February 17. Goretti will attempt to upgrade on its 24-5 season record. The Spartans come into the challenge with a 7-18 record after their 80-69 non-league loss to Bellevue West (Bellevue, NE).
