Jefferson Cougars (Shenandoah Junction, WV) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Hampshire Trojans (Romney, WV), 41-39 in a league bout.

With the win, Jefferson upgrades its record to 7-6 on the season. The Cougars travel to Musselman (Inwood, WV) to play the Applemen in a bout on Friday, February 17. The Applemen go into the bout with a record of 1-0.
