Kentucky High School Basketball - Lloyd Memorial can't hold off Newport
February 15, 2024: Newport, KY 41071 The Newport Wildcats basketball team scored 72 points and restricted the visiting Lloyd Memorial Juggernauts to 69 in the Wildcats non-league victory on Thursday.
The Wildcats now sport a 1-0 record.
The Juggernauts (0-2) will now prepare for their contest against Trimble County (Bedford, KY). The Raiders come into the non-league contest with a 4-3 record. In their last contest, Trimble County was nudged by Beechwood (Fort Mitchell, KY), 63-12, in a non-league contest.
