February 15, 2025: Champaign, IL 61821 The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Sacred Heart-Griffin Cyclones (Springfield, IL) and the host Centennial Chargers (Champaign, IL), observed Sacred Heart-Griffin's basketball team edge Centennial by a score of 64-62.
The Cyclones (15-15) will now prepare for their challenge against Glenwood (Chatham, IL). The Titans come into the Central State Eight challenge with a 18-9 record. In their last challenge, Glenwood edged Collinsville (Collinsville, IL), 43-41, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Chargers encounter the Bloomington Purple Raiders (Bloomington, IL) in a Big Twelve challenge, on Tuesday, February 18. Centennial will attempt to improve on its 12-16 season record. The Purple Raiders come into the challenge with a 1-26 record after their 88-56 non-league loss to Wheaton North (Wheaton, IL).
