South Dakota High School Basketball - Cheyenne-Eagle Butte defeats Wakpala
February 15, 2025: Wakpala, SD 57658 The Cheyenne-Eagle Butte Braves (Eagle Butte, SD) basketball were winner over the host Wakpala Sioux (Wakpala, SD), 75-58 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Braves now possess a 13-4 record. They play next when they host St. Francis Indian for a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 18. Cheyenne-Eagle Butte will play a Warriors team coming off a 70-60 non-league win over Lower Brule (Lower Brule, SD). The Warriors record now stands at 11-5.
With the loss, Wakpala falls to 9-7 on the campaign. The Sioux travel to North Central (Eureka, SD) to play the Thunder in a B Region 6 bout on Monday, February 17. The Thunder go into the bout with a record of 9-11. North Central lost 60-42 in their recent non-league bout against Northwestern Area (Mellette, SD)
