In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Payson Lions basketball team scored a good 60-51 triumph over the Desert Hills Thunder.

The Lions (18-5) will now prepare for their contest against Pine View (St. George, UT). The Panthers go into the non-league contest with a 17-8 record. In their last contest, Pine View topped Crimson Cliffs (Washington, UT), 50-45, in a non-league contest.
