Illinois High School Basketball - Steeleville fells Johnston City
February 15, 2025: Steeleville, IL 62288 The Steeleville Warriors basketball team scored 60 points and limited the visiting Johnston City Indians to 40 in the Warriors non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Warriors now have a 16-12 record. They play next when they travel to Valmeyer for a Cahokia - Kaskaskia game on Monday, February 17. Steeleville will confront a Pirates team coming off a 42-29 league win over Dupo (Dupo, IL). The Pirates record now stands at 12-14.
With the loss, Johnston City falls to 8-19 on the campaign. The Indians travel to Goreville (Goreville, IL) to confront the Blackcats in a Black Diamond - West game on Tuesday, February 18. The Blackcats go into the game with a record of 24-3. Goreville won 55-41 in their recent non-league game against Eastland (Lanark, IL)
