Illinois High School Basketball - Oregon can't hold off Mendota
February 15, 2025: Mendota, IL 61342 Mendota Trojans (Mendota, IL) boosters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the visiting Oregon Hawks (Oregon, IL), 70-64 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Mendota upgrades its record to 19-8 on the year. The Trojans travel to Kewanee (Kewanee, IL) to face the Boilermakers in a Three Rivers - East match on Tuesday, February 18. The Boilermakers enter the match with a record of 14-16. Kewanee lost 61-51 in their recent league match against Newman Central Catholic (Sterling, IL)
The Hawks now sport a 16-14 record. They put it on the line next when they host Erie-Prophetstown for a non-league match on Thursday, February 20.
