The Shepherd Bluejays basketball team scored 40 points and held the visiting Beaverton Beavers to 38 in the Bluejays league triumph on Wednesday.

The Bluejays now sport a 8-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Farwell for a Jack Pine contest on Friday, February 18. Shepherd will meet a Eagles team coming off a 47-39 non-league win over Whittemore-Prescott (Whittemore, MI). The Eagles record now stands at 1-15.

The Beavers (7-8) will now prepare for their contest against Clare (Clare, MI). The Pioneers enter the Jack Pine contest with a 11-2 record. In their last contest, Clare nudged Ogemaw Heights (West Branch, MI), 60-53, in a non-league contest.
