Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Willapa Valley Vikings (Menlo, WA) and the host Taholah Chitwhins (Taholah, WA), saw Willapa Valley's basketball squad hold off Taholah by a tally of 38-32.

With the victory, Willapa Valley improves its record to 12-8 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Naselle (Naselle, WA) to play the Comets in a non-league challenge on Saturday, February 19. The Comets come into the challenge with a record of 11-9. Naselle won 39-34 in their recent league challenge against Mossyrock (Mossyrock, WA)
