James F. Byrnes Rebels (Duncan, SC) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Blythewood Bengals (Blythewood, SC), 68-61 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, James F. Byrnes upgrades its record to 19-8 on the campaign. The Rebels travel to T.L. Hanna (Anderson, SC) to play the Yellow Jackets in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 18. The Yellow Jackets come into the bout with a record of 20-7. T.L. Hanna won 84-36 in their recent non-league bout against Chapin (Chapin, SC)
